Just curious... What gigs are folks doing on St. Patrick's Day? If you've been wanting to do a shameless plug, but have been too full of shame to post one, now's your chance... No shame is involved because this plug was solicited... I'm sure you're all saying to yourself, "Wow, self, a solicited plug! We've never been asked for one of those before so I don't know how we should respond... Any suggestions, Cid?" Why, yes, and I'm glad you asked! As an example, I would offer something like this: "Hi, I'm Cid of Jingly Bits and this St. Patrick's Day, Monday, March 17th, Jingly Bits will be giving our Farewell To California performance! Yes, at O'Flaherty's Irish Pub in downtown San Jose from 6 until at least 8 pm, we'll be giving it our all for the last time in California as we're "semi-retiring" and relocating back east. We hope to continue with our music there and maybe in a few years, you'll be able to catch us on the West Coast leg of our Unretirement Tour, but for now, this is it!
