Anyone else familiar with the sean-nos style of singing? I learned a few songs when I was at Evergreen State College(in Olympia WA.) during the Irish Experience program. Also, some friends of mine and I are looking for ceilis in the Bay area...any leads? Go Raibh Maigh Agat!

Mon, April 5, 2004 - 3:00 PMNot entirely traditional Irish ceilis happen every Monday night in Berkeley, at the Starry Plough on Shattuck two blocks off from Ashby Ave (13).
There's a brand-new Tuesday night ceili in Los Altos, CA, at St. Stephen's Green Irish Pub. Check the listings for this tribe for the details.
Both places have dance lessons starting at 7:00 ($5.00), then open (called) dancing from 9 PM until roughly 10:30. -
